Web Designer and Developer / an Art Director for Web/Tech / a Creative Who Codes. I have 15 years in web design, web development, project management, and over 23 years in radio production. I specialize in WordPress websites, e-commerce, and creative and technical consultancy. I love what I do and I am looking for projects where I can help my clients find business solutions through intelligent design, effective technology, and engaging content.
I’ve been working as a designer and developer of websites and as a creative and technical consultant since 1997. Over the years, I’ve also had formal education in User Experience Design (UX) and in Full Stack Web Development (Ruby on Rails and MEAN Stack). I am fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate), as well as UX tools (Omnigraffle, Sketch, Invision).
My past web projects include work for recognizable corporate brands, such as, Warner Bros. Home Video, Warner Bros. Publishing, Warner Bros. Studio Store, and Ruby-Spears Productions. I’ve created websites in markets as diverse as film, broadcast, online entertainment, and e-learning, to websites for art dealers and museums, to manufacturers’ catalogs and online storefronts for consumer goods and professional services. I’ve also spent several years working in the film and television industry.
Years of experience developing online properties has given me insight into the special demands and opportunities presented by the web. I have a strong understanding of client dynamics and expectations. On a functional level, I’ve learned how to manage interactive accounts – from proposal, through the design and production period and through beta testing, to launch and promotion, and to maintenance of legacy sites and proper documentation. I understand the hard work involved to launch a successful website, of the amount of time each step requires, and an appreciation for what each member of the web team contributes.
Over the years, I’ve also worked in the Hollywood special effects and commercial production industry both as a Graphics Coordinator and a Project Manager. I’ve managed creative and technical teams of motion graphics and animation artists. Projects include main title graphics for film and broadcast, and motion graphics for trailers and commercials. Projects and clients include Borat, The Queen, Charlotte’s Web, Disney Channel, Disney Interactive and Miramax Films.
I graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, and minoring in Studio Arts. I continue to take design, programming, and multimedia specific courses, as well as, self-study. In 2015, I finished General Assembly’s Web Development Immersive program to become a full stack developer. In 2017, I finished General Assembly’s User Experience Design course.
I’m also active in the Los Angeles arts community as a radio producer and host of a radio program. I’ve produced and hosted “Echo in the Sense,” a weekly hour-long radio program focused on public affairs topics, technology and the arts. The program is 23 years old and broadcasts on KXLU Los Angeles 88.9 FM.
I Love Design
15 years of front-end design has sharpened my aesthetic judgment. Good design is arresting; it stops you in your tracks and compels you to pay attention. In an age of disposable media, it is more important than ever to make a strong first impression.
I’m a Team Player
Having worked on both the production end and the project management side, I appreciate what each member of the team contributes. My experience can help me fill in the gaps. My organizational skills and project management background keeps things moving forward.

I love my website. It reflects who I am as a clinician and the message I want to convey to my client base. Christine has the ability to creatively capture the essence of who you are.LaDonna Parker
“I worked with Christine Palma in developing the Instrumental Classmates web site for Warner Bros. Publications.
She was very professional and a pleasure to work with. Her ability to creatively realize our sales and marketing vision into a practical and beautifully designed web site was an integral part of the success of our Instrumental Classmates line of educational music instruction videos.”Alex Mirones
I would like to take this time to express my appreciation for the great job that you have done for us with our website project.
As I reflect on the stages of the project, I really have to compliment your ability to understand rough concepts and then to professionally direct a project. Although our management team went back and forth on the company image that we wanted to project, your project leadership was able to guide us forward. This was invaluable, as it not only allowed us to define our presence but also saved us money by not wasting time exploring too many concepts. This resulted from your ability to communicate your experience while showing us how the possible outcomes of the concepts we were considering through your previous works.
Thanks again for a great job.Richard Cabezas
I have had the opportunity to work with Christine Palma on three projects for two very different entertainment companies.
In both instances, I sought out her services, primarily because of my acquaintance with Christine and the quality of her work and work ethic. Two of the three projects moved forward to completion and currently are online. The third site was to be a film website for a movie that is still in post-production. I worked closely with Christine as we provided extensive content development. Christine also worked closely with the art director of the website, Michael Coulson, a renowned producer and art director for many of Peter Gabriel’s music videos.
In all three instances, I and my associates have been pleased with the outstanding work of Christine in a variety of areas in terms of her overall knowledge of the internet (perfect for novices which both entertainment companies were), design and programming, her ability to work within a limited budget and still deliver an excellent site, her ease and compatibility with a variety of personalities and her marketing savvy.
I highly recommend Christine for any novice, individual or company, contemplating a website as well as any experienced web-head.Jennie Trias
The website Christine made for me is exactly what I was hoping for aesthetically and functionally. I really enjoyed working with her because she is easygoing and does a fantastic job. She is a trifecta: talent, brains and efficiency all in one. The website she created projects a professional image and Christine understands the needs of my brand intuitively.Rose Bae
